FALKEN continues its global partnership with Red Bull Air Race

Tyre brand FALKEN is continuing its sponsorship of Red Bull Air Race pilot Yoshihide Muroya for a third year. Muroya is the only Asian pilot in the Master Class line-up for the 2017 Red Bull Air Race Championship. The partnership between FALKEN and Muroya, in which the pilot and his “Team FALKEN" compete in the fastest motorsports event in the world, is now in its third season. Top pilot Yoshihide Muroya won sixth place overall in the Master Class category of the Red Bull Air Race in both 2015 and 2015; in 2016, he scooped podium places in two out of the eight races. Other wins for Muroya have included first place in a home race in the Japanese city of Chiba, and third in Ascot (UK). “The Red Bull Air Race is virtually unequalled among sports for its combination of high-tech, passion and performance – which are naturally the core values of our FALKEN brand. Our partnership with the event enables us to generate enormous media reach within a technology and lifestyle-focused environment, of course including Red Bull's own dedicated channels. We will make the most of the European Air Races for content production, as well as for brand activation with dealers and consumers", says Stephan Cimbal, Head of Marketing at Falken Tyre Europe, in explanation of FALKEN's commitment. Through its Japanese parent company, Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd., FALKEN is also embarking on its second year as official national partner of the Red Bull Air Race in Chiba, Japan, to be held in June 2017.   Red Bull Air Race World Championship 2017 – Race Diary 10–11 February Abu Dhabi (UAE) 15–16 April San Diego (USA) 3–4 June Budapest (Hungary) 22–23 July Kazan (Russia) 12–13 August TBD 2–3 September TBD 14–15 October Indianapolis (USA)
